Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer - Essex - To £40K Established in the 1990's, this Building Services and Sustainability Consultancy offers a refreshing approach to staff development and progression. Promotions are based on merit and you will be given as much responsibility and autonomy as you desire. With at least three years' experience in as an Electrical Design Engineer within the building services industry; you'll be trusted to use your own initiative to drive projects forward and will not be micro-managed. You will enjoy working on projects from £1 to £150M spanning both refurbishments and major new build developments including commercial offices, luxury residential projects, large retail parks and complex industrial or laboratory projects. Rather than just developing your knowledge in just Electrical Design, you will also develop a better awareness of BIM, Energy and Sustainability services and M&E Asset Engineering ensuring you develop into a well-rounded, Electrical building services design engineer. Although you will be based in their Essex office, you will still work on high profile projects in London and work in true partnership with property owners, occupiers, and investors. You will be mentored by a hands on, supportive Chartered Principal Engineer who will make sure your develop your technical and commercial skills. Role Design and manage projects from initial survey through to completion. Liaise with clients, attend design team meetings and project meetings. Producing drawings, specifications and technical schedules. Report to the Senior Engineer or Project Leader on a weekly basis. Manage your own time and ensure all projects under your control remain on schedule. Carry out site inspections. Benefit's 25 days leave 5 hours per week. Regular CPD. Discretionary annual bonus.
