Are you a Java Developer who has a passion for end to end Development? You like the idea of integration, integration and more integration. Like the idea of getting your hands dirty while also leading a small development team? Well there is a good chance this role is for you. My client is looking for an experienced Java Developer who Lead a small Development team working on a lot of core system integration. As a skilled Java Developer, you should have skills in most of: Experience in a commercial environment with the following technologies: - Java 8 or higher - SQL, ideally MySQL - Spring and Hibernate/JPA - HTML5/XML/CSS/Javascript - JUnit, Mockito - Familiar with agile software development concepts: sprints, automated testing - Experience working on large and small software projects Preferable Skills: - Taking ownership of new/existing modules of a large system and developing/maintaining them - Inter-process communication using REST, SOAP - Source control - Git, SVN - Creation of small-medium applications in response to company needs - Experience as a developer on an internal company development team - Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, JIRA, Jenkins/Hudson Nice to haves: - Experience creating applications written in .NET and/or PHP - Experience with Apache Wicket/Apache Velocity - Specialisation as a tester in a TDD/BDD environment - Familiarity with JProfiler or similar - SQL database performance tuning, transaction management This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89850278
