CAD Technician

2D CAD Technician South of Chesterfield £27,000 - £30,000 One of the UK’s most successful Tier 1 contractors has an opportunity for a 2D CAD Technician to join a positive and proactive in-house team delivering work for major highways schemes. The Role – You will be a fundamental part of the draughting and visualisation function, supporting the wider team of engineers in clearly conveying design intent to clients across a broad spectrum of projects. You will assist in the development of innovative design solutions You will work to a fast-paced environment due to the high turnover of work Use AutoCAD as your main draughting tool for 2D drawings, opportunities to use 3D visualisation may arise You will be required to occasionally go to site and undertake surveys and measurement of existing features to assist the creation of more accurate design and output You will liaise with site teams to gather and qualify information relating to designs to issue drawings where necessary You will support varied projects such as; major highways schemes, bridges and structures, building construction, environmental and water Ideal Person – The environment in the office is very social able and the team like to take part in regular extracurricular activities and CPD – in the workplace and socially.
