Offering a self-employed opportunity, Portico GB Ltd is looking to sub-contract experienced and flexible new build Window Installers to work around the South East of England region covering East Sussex and Kent. Portico GB Ltd is a leading subcontractor to the new build industry based in Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds who supply and install windows, doors, conservatories and sliding wardrobes. The Role: As a self-employed field based Window Installer, subcontracted by Portico GB Ltd, you will be travelling around the South East of England working on various New Build sites to install quality PVCu and Aluminium products. You will have installation experience in New Build environments and must have a trade related CSCS card in order to get on sites. The ability to continually travel is essential; therefore you will have a full driving licence. Role Responsibilities of the Window Installers: Subcontracted by Portico GB Ltd, of a day you will complete the following: Install quality PVCu and Aluminium products efficiently Use your own tools to complete each job safely and in a timely manner Work with other subcontracted, self-employed individuals Load and unload materials from truck onto work site Follow site plans and conform to site schedules Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues Maintain the highest regard for Health & Safety at all times Requirements for the Window Installer: Being a self-employed position, you will already have the below: You must have trade related CSCS card in order to get on site You will have your own vehicle and tools Experience working on new builds You will need to travel between sites so a driving licence is necessary Knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety standards Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written Well-organised and proactive Ability to maintain a professional manner when on-site Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently
