BI Developer There is an amazing opportunity available for a BI Developer to join a forward-thinking company in South Manchester to help create, design, process, maintain, improve, test, operate, monitor, improve, deploy and manage the software that the business requires. If you’re looking to add value with your skills and experience this is the job for you with requirements to build high-quality content such as reports, dashboards and self-service data sets. You will also be involved in data analytics and visualisations to deliver against business objectives. Responsibilities; Manage and develop SQL Server 2016, Integration services, reporting services and Excel. Testing any developments in a controlled, UAT environment before releasing live. Liaise with Stakeholders and second parties Participate in the design and requirements capture of new management information. Use ETL processes to help problem-solve Work closely with members of dev teams to ensure the high quality of all applications produced by the department. Analyse requirements, deliver solid solutions and provide feedback into these. Providing support to development related issues. Ensuring a high level of security and privacy by design process is used for designing any software developments. Ensuring IT processes are running smoothly To identify possible improvements or efficiencies in the way we work To adhere to the values and behaviours of the company To be aware of and follow company policies and procedures. Skills and experience; Experience of SQL, SSRS and SSIS Strong T-SQL and ETL Knowledge SQL Server 2008/2012/2016 stack Database Design and modelling Microsoft excel or other visual reporting Industry aware and technically up to speed with current software development tools.
