Principal Data Governance Architect - London - £75k car allowance & bonus A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a senior data governance professional to join a leading technology company based in West London. You will be accountable for overseeing data governance, standards and policies to support the wider data strategy globally. You will also be tasked with supporting analytics strategies via employing robust data governance practises, driving innovation and improving cost efficiency in the organisation. The Principal Data Governance Architect will be part of the team that shapes the way data is used to empower the business and all the people in it. With this in mind you will be accountable for managing relationships across various teams and stakeholders and must be comfortable engaging with people outside the business in a similar capacity. The Role You will help develop requirements, architecture & governance for the data governance centre You will drive the adoption of data standards across all operational companies You will help develop consensus within each regional market, allowing the global implementation of the data governance framework organisation-wide Your responsibilities will include: Driving the development of the technical strategy to evolve data governance in the business Building and maintaining a data model standard for data life cycle from creation to archiving or deletion Support end to end data strategy (reporting, cataloguing, data sharing, data risk, movement, storage, decommission etc) Working with Google to enhance their offering, supporting the wider cloud and analytics vision Skills & Experience Proven track record developing strategic roadmaps Experience managing platforms within an analytics or data setting Experience working within a large enterprise and a distributed global team Expertise in developing data models Experience with implementing data governance strategies Experience working in cloud environments (Google preferred/AWS/Azure etc) Ability to manage diverse stakeholders within projects Familiar with data privacy regulations (GDPR etc) Expertise in data and domain modelling, data standards and data architectures Successful candidates can expect a mature working environment working alongside the latest technologies in a Tech-First company that provides fantastic training and development opportunities to all employees.
