We are recruiting for 2 Technical Specialists to join our successful chromatography team at our Theale Office. The Technical Specialist is responsible for answering technical enquiries from customers and associates on all areas of chromatography. You serve as a subject matter expert on chromatography to drive sales growth and margin and seek to achieve a high level of customer service by supporting our Chrom Specialists and Account Managers globally. Job duties and responsibilities: Responding to all technical queries from UK customers, VWR and Avantor associates and our distributor base offering technical support, recommendations and advice in all areas of chromatography (in particular HPLC). Providing quotations to customers Responding to customer product concerns in line with our Quality obligations. Investigating the cause and bringing any concerns to a satisfactory conclusion. Attending and supporting technical seminars and exhibitions both on-site at customer sites and off-site. Liaising and maintaining excellent relations with our supplier base at a technical and brand level. Keeping abreast of new developments from all suppliers and our own manufacturing and R&D facilities and advising customers on these products Qualifications: A degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related subject Some hands-on experience in chromatography would be beneficial but not essential Foreign language skills would be desirable but not essential. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Strong technical competence, excellent theoretical and practical experience in all areas of reversed phase HPLC plus ideally some knowledge of other areas of chromatography (such as GPC, Chiral, Affinity, Ion Chromatography, GC, TLC etc). Good customer relationship building skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
