MTrec Recruitment are currently recruiting for a prestigious company in the Cramlington area, who are looking to expand their current work force, We are looking for a candidate with an excellent background in fabrication and sheet metal work who can organise and run a demanding shop floor. Job Role To ensure the manufacturing schedule is achieved as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to meet targets and deadlines Provide clear and confident leadership to the shop floor Must be target driven and be able to get the most out of the shop floor workers Must be able to organise and plan the daily duties and make sure that production is on track Reporting directly to the Director and management team Reading and understanding of engineering drawings and being able to translate these to other workers Must be able to TIG and MIG weld to a very high standard Must have experience of polishing and finishing off high profile products Fabricate a range of materials including Stainless Steel, Brass and aluminium to a very high standard Be able to use different machinery i.e. Punch Tools, Mitre Saw, Pillar Drills and offer training and additional help where needed Provide Technical Support, to both the Manager, and the overall business To ensure Housekeeping is adhered to and maintained Quality inspecting your own work and other workers The Person NVQ level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification required Focused on quality and excellence of end product Motivated to meet targets and deadlines Be able to help and pass on experiences to help improve the company Be energetic and enthusiastic, proactively offering proposals Achieve team objectives Be consistent, accurate and ensure that procedures are followed Must be willing to learn new techniques and meet the demand of the business Must be flexible for overtime and be able to work until the job is completed This is a dayshift role, working Monday to Thursday 08.00am till 16.30pm and 08.00am till 13.00pm on a Friday. Salary based on experience. Full time position leading to permanent for the correct candidate
