Overview

Waste Contract Manager - Central Biffa IRM is a multi-award winning initiative which provides innovative changes to the management of waste and resources. Our Integrated Resource Management (IRM) process helps businesses to ensure they are fully compliant with waste regulations and has improved efficiency throughout a number of UK operations. We work with progressive, complex organisations to minimise their environmental footprint and significantly reduce waste management costs. Our integrated resource management process uses a fully-integrated, intelligent waste management methodology where we deliver zero waste directly to landfill. Main Purpose of the role - Working closely with a number of clients. Accountable for managing operations & commercials within a set portfolio of IRM Contracts towards achieving monthly / annual EBIT targets. This will involve coordinating on site services, implementing recycling initiatives & innovation, consulting the client towards legislative compliance, setting the highest standards of H&S on a day to day basis, & adding demonstrable value to the contract. Main Duties - • Running P&L accounts • Delivery of contractual KPIs • On time production of accurate monthly reports, raising of POs & consolidated invoices • Working & communicating to IRM's Standard Operating Procedure • Daily / weekly onsite auditing to include quality inspections, H & S reviews & DOC checks • Educate, train & coach client representatives towards operational & environmental compliance • Comply with all client site specific health & safety standards & procedures • Manage performance & welfare of operatives /reportees on site if applicable • Ensure prompt payment from client towards set debt management policy & targets • To communicate market intelligence to the business & support best practice within team IRM • Manage & negotiate supplier network • Delivery of Cost Saving and Environmental projects in line with customer requirements • To carry out any other reasonable job-related tasks assigned by the HoE Key Skills - • Proficient at MS Office especially Excel • Ability to multi-task and prioritise • H&S Experience , IOSH preferred or willing to undertake the course About Biffa: Here at Biffa, we have a friendly, open and honest culture that's based on mutual trust and respect. very proud of what we do and are continually striving to be better.
