Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer ( M&E ) · Birmingham · £34 to 36k per annum You have the opportunity to work for one of the leading facilities management companies in the World. They specialise in providing mechanical and electrical building services, building fabrics repair and soft services to multiple sectors inclusive of commercial offices, education, critical environments, retail sites, shopping centres, local authorities, distribution and logistics, manufactures. Ideally you will be an apprenticeship served Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer ideally with Electrical knowledge to work on shifts and call out rota as required with weekend and overtime working when necessary to provide breakdown and Maintenance cover on a varied range of equipment and machinery. Requirements: · Apprenticeship served multi-skilled Engineer with proven knowledge of - · All areas of Mechanical Engineering with excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills. · (gear drives, bearings, belt drives & pulleys, fans, screw threads, fixings, materials, heat transfer, linkages, chain drives etc) · Pipefitting and plumbing · Knowledge of industrial steam boilers and steam systems · Experience of working on industrial steam boiler and steam systems · (pipework, joints, valves, heat exchangers, condensate systems etc) · Experience of working on commercial & domestic water systems · Experience of working on Compressed air systems · Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, drive systems etc · Experience of working on pumps, motors valves, drive systems etc It is desirable if you also have experience in; · Welding · Electrical · Industrial doors · (Roller shutter, sectional overhead, rapid close, barriers & turnstiles, fire doors etc) · Boiler operator and Maintenance - not necessarily BOAS.
