Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker to join the ranks in our diverse Elderly care team located in the Huddersfield area. Sun Woodhouse is a well-established care home in Huddersfield, which currently provides care and support to a range of clients and is part of Valorum Care. Carers at Sun Woodhouse are the most important people to our residents and play an essential role in their everyday wellbeing and quality of life. Therefore, you must have a genuine passion for working with the elderly and enjoy making a real difference to the client’s lives. Who were looking for: Our Senior support workers must be kind, compassionate and genuinely enthusiastic about the care and wellbeing of our service users Our Senior support workers must be confident in managing a care team. Our Senior support workers MUST be reliable and flexible. 3 years previous care experience NVQ level 2 or 3 qualified All shifts are put on a rota for all the staff team to see so you will always know what days in the week you will be working. There will be some weekend work involved however this typically alternates each week. The Rotas are produced as early as possible to provide flexibility for the support workers. Management can flexible with the rota to a degree and if you need to swap a shift, they will always look to accommodate when they can. Duties: Developing and reviewing residents’ care plans Administering Medication Acting as Senior of a shift team Dealing with emergencies in a calm and supportive way Maintaining records efficiently Assisting service users with daily activities and living Emotional Support Ensuring residents are safe and comfortable at all times Benefits of working for Valorum Access to free qualifications in social care (Level 2 and 3) Overtime opportunities Christmas incentives 28 days annual leave A family like atmosphere between everyone in the home.
