Scientific Director

An independent healthcare communications agency with offices in the North West is looking to expand its successful team with a Scientific Director. The agency works with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to deliver full service, bespoke medical communications and strategic consultancy services. Reporting into the Company Director, the Scientific Director will lead a number of client accounts from a scientific/ editorial perspective, ensuring strategic and tactical initiatives are implemented to the highest standard. You will provide leadership level scientific, strategic and commercial expertise across the business. You will generate, develop and secure new business opportunities through the provision of added- value strategic insight and scientific expertise. Furthermore, you will line manage other team member including carrying out objective setting and performance appraisals, ensuring individual objectives are achieved and addressing performance issues proactively. To be considered for this excellent opportunity you should have a life science degree and have ideally 8 years experience in a medical writing or reviewer role.
