Overview
We are looking for a full-time fabricator welder at our Lasham workshop. Responsibilities: TIG and MIG welding of stainless-steel tube, sheet and plate. Fabrication - cutting, drilling, tapping, forming, bending, rolling, coiling tube, sheet and plate. Safe use of all sizes of machinery. Continuous improvement of manufacturing methods. Helping other members of the manufacturing team. Good time keeping. Keeping workspace clean. Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures. Essential experience: Knowledge of correct jointing methods for the above. Desirable experience: Coiling of tube. Knowledge of either boiler, heater or economiser manufacture. Other metal manufacturing techniques. MIG welding of stainless-steel sheet and plate. Forklift trained and certificated. First aid at work trained and certificated. Apprenticeship in fabrication welding, time served. Required skills: Good verbal written communication. Attention to detail. Consistency in good welding results. Use of hand tools and power tools (grinders and drills etc). Able to work with and without manufacturing drawings. You will need to work off your own initiative, be flexible, committed, willing to learn and pass on other skills.
