Buyer - Manufacturing - Rocester - Permanent - £35,000 - £45,000 P/A ARM are looking for an Experienced Buyer with a Manufacturing background to join an interesting company in Rocester. Your purpose: To ensure that materials are purchased at the most competitive prices, within the required timescales and to the required specifications. Duties & Responsibilities: NPI Utilising NPI processes and tools to engage the most suitable supplier to support product development and launch Placing Purchase order with suppliers. Work in conjunction with and support the Purchasing Project Leader to deploy the NPI process Cost Cost reduction - plan and deliver activities to achieve annual cost reduction and on-cost budgets. Negotiating prices with suppliers. People Lead Supplier Relationship Management activities for lead buy suppliers Work with the Business Units and key functions to develop and deploy Category Strategies for lead buy categories Your skills: Purchasing in a manufacturing environment Familiar with manufacturing processes Working within a New Product Introduction process Supplier development and prospecting This vacancy is being advertised by Advanced Resource Managers.
