Purchasing Administrator Peterborough c£20,000 pa This well established engineering business is looking to recruit an enthusiatic, bubbly individual to join their busy purchasing department due to an internal promotion Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator Raise purchase orders for ad hoc & bespoke requirements Analyze Sage MRP recommendations for standard component requirement Progress purchase orders with suppliers to ensure delivery to due date Manage bespoke purchase projects including set up of BOMs & works orders and procurement to ensure parts are received to procurement due date Monitor consignment stock and call off orders Book in purchase order receipts and resolve any discrepancies The Purchasing Administrator will perform System maintenance including updating of pricing and re-order information Update supplier contact information Update works order status and issue factory picking lists and reports Closely manage steel stock Keep the operations team updated with any delays/changes in project component lead times To apply for the Purchasing Administrator :- The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self starter and problem solver. An inquisitive nature is encouraged, and the following skill set is required: Experience is not necessary - however a outgoing, enthusiastic and bubbly character is essential communication and people skills Meticulous, organised, and a strong attention to detail You should be able to work using your own initiative and as part of a team Commercial awareness with good analytical skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Proficient in the use of Excel and other MS applications 5 CSE's grade C and above including Maths and English Overall the Purchasing Administrator must be able to use his or her initiative to work through problems and to find information.There will be a lot of 'on-the-job' learning and the candidate must therefore be eager to learn as much as possible as soon as possible so that they can quickly become an asset to the team. You will need to manage multiple tasks and projects whilst responding to urgent requirements in order to meet deadlines.
