MacIntyre ,
Braintree, Essex
Salary: Earnings between £250 & £550 a week with additional tax breaks

Overview

Spare room in your heart? Spare room in your home? Could you share your life and your home with a vulnerable adult? Have you heard of the Shared Lives Scheme? Outline You’ll provide a home to a vulnerable adult, who will live with you either full-time or part-time. You’ll be responsible for ensuring they have a safe, welcoming home, and will help them keep up with family and friends, plus develop new relationships and new interests. If you’re providing full-time care, then the person will live with you all the time, just like a member of your family. If part-time care, then this might be on a regular or occasional basis, and the time commitment will vary. Who can be a Shared Lives Carer? Single people, couples, families with children – carers come from all family types and all walks of life. We match people who suit each other’s circumstances. We are looking for positive people who want to share their home and family with someone else. We provide you with full training and a support network, so you don’t need any experience. Please don't think you need to have worked as a Support / Care Worker or Healthcare Assistant as this is NOT the case. Who are we? MacIntyre is a national charity supporting people with learning disabilities in a number of innovative ways. We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to run the Shared Lives scheme in Essex, and are now recruiting new Carers in the area.
