Personal Care Assistant

About me I am a 24 year-old young man living in Priorslee and I need support 24/7. I use a wheelchair, am registered blind and need support in all areas of daily living - I need help with personal care, preparing meals, cleaning and getting out and about. I already have a small team of carers that have worked for me for years and I am looking to expand the team. I enjoy spending time with my carers, listening to music, cleaning my car, crystals and spending time at my allotment. About you Experience of working in a care setting. Caring, honest, reliable, flexible, empathetic and respectful - be fun and silly but also have serious conversations. Understand I sometimes need my own space but be close by in case I need you. Be flexible - the rota is prepared at least four weeks in advance but shifts may change from time to time (within reason) and you will need to be flexible with the changes. Shifts are currently 12 hours long but shorter shifts may be available. Full UK driving licence and be prepared to drive my mobility vehicle. Like dogs - I live with my Mum and our pet dogs and you must be comfortable with working in a dog-friendly environment Be prepared to have a full DBS check processed as part of the job offer process.
