Overview
The Company: An excellent opportunity for an Assistant Demand Planner to join a fast growing, successful, cosmetics company who supply both private label and branded products to leading retailers worldwide. The Role: Work with the buying team to ensure all product components are available to meet production requirements Work with account managers to gain knowledge of NPD, End of line products, to better manage inventory. Create forecast models for our own brands to maintain availability across the full range. Assist customers in forecasting future demand Data analysis to identify key drivers of sales Stock inventory management in line with agreed limits - Identifying over stocks/aged stock To provide information to aid decision making in stock movements and sales projections. Working closely with the Buying/ Supply Chain team to aid stock intake and stock movement planning providing key information to aid stock intake and stock movement planning. Compiling sales data and analysing product performance. Summarising and evaluating data and communicating findings to aid management decision making regarding sales trends. Revising forecasts for key retailers and product ranges as appropriate to inform buying quantities. Updating sales projections as required. Participating in customer visits to discuss sales performance/agree corrective action plans. Skills Required: Excellent Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel. Strong organisational/planning skills Excellent analytical and numeracy skills Ability to work independently on own initiative Experience of using MRP/ERP Systems Production planning experience or demand planning experience Previous business experience in a statistical analysis/forecasting role. Educated to degree standard or equivalent preferably in Maths, Business, Economics or an Accountancy related subject. Strong commercial acumen. Independent thinker with strong analytical and numerical skills. Ability to summarise large amounts of data and confidently communicate findings to management and other key stakeholders. Highly organised and methodical approach. Excellent Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel.
