Purchase Ledger Assistant Location: Tadworth Salary: £20,000 to £23,000 Permanent role Who are we looking for? We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills: • Ability to work well with others • Strong personal and organisational skills • Good attention to detail • Willing to work on all aspects of the Finance function, and to learn new skills as required • To be self-motivated • To be responsive to the needs of internal and external customers and colleagues Education/Certification Requirements: • GCSE’s A-C (including Maths and English Language) • It is preferable but not essential to have experience within a similar background. • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy • Working knowledge of MS Office Packages, particularly Excel Your responsibilities? Working closely with the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, undertaking a number of different elements, such as: • Purchase order processing as necessary • Completing purchase order returns when needed • Management of Supplier list – obtaining and managing the approval process of new suppliers • Supplier statement reconciliations to Purchase Ledger • Negotiate with suppliers specifying quality, quantity and delivery schedules • Ensure appropriate authorisation of all supplier invoices prior to payment • Dealing with enquiries from suppliers and colleagues in other departments and on other sites • Inputting and electronically matching high volumes of invoices to purchase orders • Ensuring all invoice filing is correct • Reconciliation and process of accounts receivable receipts as necessary • Any other tasks within the Finance department as and when required • Preparation and input of journals • Some credit control responsibilities If you feel you qualify for this job, please APPLY NOW.
