Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a 12 month FTC to cover a maternity leave within the finance department. This is a fascinating role based within a rapidly expanding business and is best suited for candidates with a good technical background and strong process improvements experience. Key Responsibilities: Produce accurate financial reports within deadlines Take leadership of the month end process, including preparation of management accounts Preparation and posting of various journals as part of the month end close and reporting process, including payroll, intercompany, fixed assets, IFRS 16 leases, inventory, revenue and cost of sales Assisting the Financial Projects Manager in implementation of new processes Assisting the FP&A Analyst and Cost Controllers in tracking costs against budgets and monitoring of cash flow forecasts and trends Preparation of the Group's full year and interim accounts Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts Managing and maintaining the Company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems Developing strong external relationships with appropriate contacts Keeping abreast of changes in financial and other reporting requirements that may impact the Group's external announcements; and designing and implementing changes to systems and reports if required Accounting for the Group's share schemes under IFRS 2 Research and preparation of technical accounting papers on key issues for senior management and Board committees Support Financial Controller and Finance Director Suitable Candidates: Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) Investigative nature and a keen problem solver Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels Process improvement experience
