IT Support Engineer
Overview
We are looking for an internal IT Support Engineer to join an expanding R&D technology company based in North Cambridge. Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, you will be responsible for 1st / 2nd line IT and network support tasks -primarily within the company and occasionally to end users/customers. This role is very hands-on so you will need proven experience providing 1st and 2nd line support working in a small-to-medium sized company (SME organisation). Salary: £25k - £30k benefits. Location: North Cambridge Responsibilities of IT Support Engineer Providing 1st and 2nd line PC and network support to end users. Monitoring the company's IT infrastructure and dealing with alerts. Contributing to the development and implementation of IT services to the company. Supporting the IT infrastructure of all departments at the Cambridge office site. Requirements of IT Support Engineer Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 Linux (Debian, Ubuntu) Virtualisation (VMWare vSphere) Network switching / routing / Wi-Fi, VLANs LDAP, VPN (IPSEC, SSL) Office365 Well versed in IT security and data security Excellent attention to detail and good record keeping Very reliable with a positive 'can do' attitude, flexible and open-minded about all aspects of the job Experience of any of the following would be beneficial, Managing IT systems in a product development setting, Managing AV / Firewall solutions (Sophos knowledge preferred), Cloud platforms (Amazon AWS, Heroku), VPN (including use of OpenVPN), Mimecast, SQL Server.
