Welding / QC Engineer

Job Title: Welding/QC Engineer Location: Rotherham, Yorkshire Duration: Permanent Welding / QC Engineer to support all Welding Engineering and QC aspects of the business. Key Responsibilities: Offer support and assistance in the overall management and execution of projects Review and approve fabrication and welding specifications during both tender and execution stages Provide necessary welding information and advice Carry out site visits to ensure that welding is being conducted in line with company and project procedures Monitor subcontractors welding activities Manage the Company Weld Spec Data Base Manage the companies Welder Qualification Register and ensure that welders are qualified Assist with all QC aspects during the compilation of tenders Maintenance and Controlling of Site / Project Documents Assist the QESH Manager in formulation of HSE objectives Carry out Safety Internal Audits both in the office and at site Support QESH Manager in ensuring compliance and maintaining Management Systems Certification Complete Incident and Accident Reporting as per procedures Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge Required: Experience in a Welding Engineering capacity, including all aspects of project execution Experience in a Quality Control capacity, including all aspects of project execution Technical qualifications in a mechanical / fabrication background Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001/ISO45001, SCC Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
