Overview

Executive Freight Services, a global freight forwarding company based in Farnborough is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to manage their Air, ocean Road export/import freight sales in the South and to expand the UK sales team. If you have a clear commercial ability, confident selling and bringing in new business, and want to be part of a solid team reap the rewards of your efforts, this is the role for you. The Role: The role will need a highly motivated BDM with excellent relationship-building, selling, and communication skills. Be able to generate revenue and drive new business by managing face-to-face sales meetings, building relationships, presenting recommendations for supply chain solutions and closing sales. You will cover the South of England, to include London, Home Counties, Dorset, Devon, West / East Sussex, although not exhaustive. Youll be responsible for: Growth through developing and securing new B2B sales gross profit growth across portfolio. Source, plan and conduct face to face calls with prospective B2B customers within the south of the UK. Achieve agreed number of face to face meetings per month with prospective B2B (commercial) clients. Follow up of routed sales leads generated by overseas partners when provided. Research / sourcing potential business opportunities thought out the south of the UK. Primarily target and secure medium to large size prospects. Make recommendations to management relating to forecasting/budgeting strategy. Remain engaged with customer to maintain relationship and ensure ongoing success of account. Essential Criteria: Minimum 3 Years freight forwarding (Air and Ocean import/export) sales experience. Working knowledge of International freight forwarding industry. Excellent communication skills in English: written, face to face or over the telephone. Highly credible, mature individual with strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels. Proactive, autonomous results - orientated individual with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profitability. Proven ability of creating long-term relationships with key decision makers. Ambitious, conscientious driven personality with a strong work ethic. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word. High standard of attention to detail and accuracy.
