Frontend Developer - Banbury An Online Retailer is currently looking for a frontend Developer to work alongside the development team on a highly transactionsal, successful eCommerce site. The company works with leading manufacturers and distributors to provide the highest quality product for the lowest price possible. This year they are looking for new talent help be part of this success story. They are looking for a motivated individual who may not yet be the finished article. Training can be provided to people who have a basic level of skill. The role involves the creation and maintenance of all frontend designs and features. The role will be based on the magento 2 platform, knowledge of this isn't essentail, however a willingness to learn is. Responsibilities Adding critical input and ideas when launching new frontend designs and features Building modern and reusable code Optimising the website for speed and scalability Creation and updating of all frontend designs Managing and Organising Tasks and Workload to make deadlines Skills Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3 Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them Basic understanding of Magento 2 would be a bonus but other experience could satisfy Basic understanding of PHP The only essentail skills are HTML, CSS and some JavaScript.
