Overview
I am currently partnering up with a brilliant Client, an ethical Bank that focuses on creating lasting social change in communities, putting people's money where their values are. They are looking for Risk & Compliance Officer to join their team in their Tonbridge office. The role will provide support to the Compliance & Financial Crime Manager in the oversight and maintenance of effective compliance arrangements and the management of operational risk. Key responsibilities include: Contributing to the development of the CMP, meeting the needs of the business and regulatory system and undertaking business-wide reviews covering SYSC, COBS, DISP, BIPRU, Data Protection, GDPR and JMLSG requirements within the TCF & Conduct Risk frameworks. Providing support in ensuring AML and GPDR arrangements are in place. Investigate and submit reports as relevant. Reviewing financial promotions and undertaking reviews of Self Sign-Off (SSO) promotions. Supporting internal & external audits, providing advice, training and guidance to the business on regulator matters. Providing general risk support to the CRO assisting in the delivery of Risk Management Framework. Assisting the Finance Team and CRO with reviewing ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan as required. Performing administration duties, including project work and minute meetings, participating in staff forums & meetings, contributing to the efficient running of the compliance function and wider CRO team. Ideal candidate will have: At least 2 years' experience in compliance or risk functions in a retail banking or financial services environment. Working knowledge of AML, GDPR and Financial Promotions policies. Working knowledge and understanding of FCA/PRA, experience of liaising with the regulators and third parties. Experience of operational risk frameworks and an understanding of the key risks and controls. Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills. Great attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities & balance stakeholder interests. For this role, The Company is offering salary of £45,000 - £55,000 depending on the experience.
