Overview

About the Role: We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world. We are seeking a driven communications professional to join our growing London office. The Financial Services team builds and protects reputational value for the full spectrum of UK and international businesses, from banks and investment banks, to insurers, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, private equity companies, trading and investment platforms, hedge funds and governments. We think holistically about the industry and address media, analyst, investor, employee and customer audiences from within our team. We are currently seeking Consultants with corporate comms experience to join a growing team of over 35 professionals in London. What You'll Do: Daily news monitoring and delivering news reports both internally and to external clients Deliver research proposals and contribute to new business pitch documents for the team as requested Work alongside colleagues to ensure internal team processes, timescales and quality assurance are adhered to Focus on client retention through exemplary service delivery Assist senior team members in creatively preparing and delivering the client program Anticipate potentially challenging situations and evaluate alternatives with senior team Deliver financial calendar PR and corporate communications programmes Take a leading role in administrative requirements across clients Build the Business: Research potential clients and opportunities Support new business opportunities and contribute fresh ideas to team marketing meetings Proactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clients Team Involvement: Participate in weekly team meetings by contributing ideas, managing agendas and deliverables Contribute frequent editorial opportunities to the team through media contacts Share ideas and client information with the team Share knowledge, insights and experience with colleagues Develop relationships with other teams within FT How You'll Grow: Alongside opportunities to learn on the job from some of the leading professionals in the industry, FTI Consulting offers extensive internal and external training opportunities. Qualifications and Experience: Educated to degree level or equivalent Preferably a years experience in an in-house communications or PR agency role delivering corporate communications Possess or have the desire to develop excellent contacts with the media in the Financial Services sector Experience in the Financial Services and related sectors an advantage.
