Overview

AWS Technology DevOps Engineer £75,000 - £95,000 per annum (DOE) annual discretionary bonus benefits Central London On behalf of a Leading Financial Services organisation, I'm seeking an experienced AWS Technology DevOps Engineer. You will be working as part of a team of experienced engineers supporting the cloud infrastructure across AWS. The role will require you to lead cloud innovation whilst acting as an escalation point for wider support teams. You will champion the use of Infrastructure as Code to ensure deployments are delivered correctly, as well as being managed, maintained and cost optimised. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain AWS cloud environments to ensure they are secure and conform to best practice Ensure code is maintained effectively Adhere to backup/DR requirements and assist with regular testing Provide reporting around availability of key systems Manage the relationship with AWS to ensure we maximise our investment Provide 3rd line troubleshooting of cloud issues Build Supplier/Vendor (BAU/Project) relationships Devise and implement process improvements to resolve outstanding faults or provide new functionality Support Technology Disaster Recovery Ensure PCI-DSS compliance Deal with all vulnerability and audit findings and ensuring requirements are redressed and completed within set deadlines Reliable and consistent decision maker May be an infrequent business need to provide after hours or weekend support for critical incidents, or planned upgrade works Coaching and mentoring team members in adhering to security and performance best practices. Experience/Skills required: Proven experience as an AWS DevOps Enggineer or Solution Architect working with senior managers Proven experience with medium to large scale AWS deployments Deep expertise in AWS services across Security, Identity, Compliance, Management, Governance, Networking and Cost Management Proven experience of Network architecture and design Proven experience of technical leadership of large-scale IT projects Technical working knowledge of IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) Experience of migrating on prem services to public cloud Excellent customer service skills A good level of experience and knowledge of Service Management Framework and best practice, including the ability to handle incidents, requests and escalations. Experience of coaching and up-skilling colleagues in the use of end user services Delivery experience of Linux OS Extensive integration experience AWS Certification would be highly desirable.
