DRIVERS ARE OUR HEROS Following the Coronavirus outbreak our delivery drivers are doing us proud by providing essentials products to our stores. Due to store shortages there is a HUGE demand for HGV drivers, and WE NEED YOUR HELP Driver Hire Chelmsford and Harlow has been approached by a major supermarket chain to potentially supply a vast number of Class 1 HGV Drivers to a distribution centre based in Chelmsford. The role will consist of trunking from the distribution centre to stores across the region. On arrival of each stop you must be prepared to unload (potentially single handed and unsupervised on night shifts) and potentially reload some waste/returns. We are interested in hearing from experienced candidates who have great attention to detail, are confident in driving in tight spaces and flexible to work various days and hours. Our client’s expectation is that drivers will be available to be block booked for up to 6 weeks on a variety of different shifts (days / nights). Due to our client’s insurance requirements, you must have held your HGV Class 1 licence for at least 2 years, have no more than 3 points on your licence, be over the age of 25 and have at least 2 years driving experience on your HGV Class 1. Pay rates: £12.50 – Day FLAT RATED £14 – Night FLAT RATED Please note the above rate is paid via an Umbrella Scheme Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to every application.
