Overview
Strategic Buyer (Procurement Division) Cambridge £55,000 per year Private Health Care, Performance Related Bonus, Flexi-Time, 28 Days Holiday, 10% Pension The Opportunity: To be a key leader of the procurement function both strategically and operationally; directing sourcing activities of raw material for low volume / high value manufacturing in a technology start-up in Cambridge. You will be leading across a number of different areas including tendering and both category and supplier relationship management; devising long term commodity strategies to deliver the required objectives. Skills and Experience: 5 years of strategic buying experience from a low volume manufacturing environment Experience of identifying and establishing strategic vendor partnerships Experience of good negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of improving vendor performance and rationalising supply base Experience effectively managing end-to-end NPI’s Leading and driving continuous improvement throughout the business process Relevant Degree: e.g. Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering, CIPS, MCIPS qualification, etc. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interact at all levels The Company: A fast paced and constantly evolving business who innovate and work collaboratively across many disciplines with a friendly team-focused culture.
