Overview

A great opportunity has arisen for a Paramedic Practitioner to provide clinical assessment, treatment, discharge and/or referral to first contact patients across a wide spectrum of clinical conditions based in and around the Derbyshire area. Our Client is a major player in the NHS 111 Out of Hours and Emergency Services, dedicated to improving the lives of patients 24 hours a day 365 days a year The successful post holder will participate in promoting and advancing our Client’s services. In return and if desired this post will be a developmental position with funded Advanced Clinical Practitioner training and support available. The opportunity to work across various different sites, gaining valued experience would be another added bonus. Key Responsibilities: Practising autonomously as a Paramedic Practitioner without direct supervision Providing an excellent Clinical service Interpreting diagnostic investigations and taking the correct course of action Recognising, treating and referring patient’s needs and taking the appropriate action Optimising evidence based practice Working effectively as part of a multi professional team in collaboration with other members of the Clinical Service Essential Qualifications & Experience: HCPC Registered Paramedic Evidence of Autonomous Practice Qualification such as:- Autonomous Practice A33 Level 6 or 7 Clinical Examination Module Level 6 or 7 Minor Illness Module Emergency Care Practitioner Qualification Experience of administrating and supplying medication via PGD or independent prescribing experience Can show evidence of using autonomous physical examination and assessment skills in practice Can demonstrate a broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care in both adults and children Has experience in one of the following areas: nurse led clinics, emergency care centres, out of hours facilities or walk in centres Desirable Qualifications & Experience: BSc (Hons) Mentorship Qualification Registered as an independent non – medical prescriber Experience of telephone triage Use of examination skills in practice In order to be successful in this role you must be a committed individual, be flexible and have a real passion for providing the best possible care and outcomes.
