Overview

Our client has a permanent opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor to undertake fee earning work, working both independently, with minimal supervision and as a member of the team. You will maintain existing relations with the firm’s clients and assist and develop new relationships with third parties, at the same time provide a high quality legal service to the firm’s clients. The role focus: Estate administration Will preparation Court of Protection work Lasting Powers of Attorney Trust administration and Declarations of Trusts Advising clients with regard to elderly client/vulnerable client issues Advising clients on estate planning for asset protection with focus on tax minimisation, care fees etc Estate related property work Attend local hospitals, hospices and care homes as required Attend monthly Age concern event Work closely with other departments within the firm on joint matters/projects Requirements: 3 years PQE Able to conduct own caseload with minimal supervision Knowledge and understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and other relevant regulatory requirements Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team Effective oral and written communication skills Commercial and financial awareness including ability to take responsibility for financial control of own client matters Able to develop positive relationships with clients and manage client expectations Effective prioritisation with ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively Marketing, networking and business development skills commensurate with the role Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application.
