Overview
Joining our international Engineering client, Bruckshaw Associates are recruiting an experienced and hands on Senior Accounts Assistant, reporting into the Finance Manager and Head of Finance you will be responsible for all the day to day transactional elements of the accounts function as well as the VAT Returns and reporting and Payroll. A great opportunity for someone AAT qualified or experienced Bookkeeper looking to be part of a small team. Although not a conclusive list the main responsibilities for this position will be: Purchase Ledger - matching and processing purchase invoices. Credit Control Sales Ledger Processing payroll of c.50 employees monthly. Bank Reconciliations VAT Returns Reporting Petty cash and expenses Experience/Skillset: Although not essential this would suit someone fully AAT/AATQB, or someone who has been operating at a similar level in a previous role. You will need to have strong IT skills in particular Excel. You will be highly accurate, display a methodical approach and be able to meet strict deadlines when necessary. Although not essential experience of using Pegasus Opera is preferential. Team fit: Although a well-established and international company there is a real family feel to the team and attitude and team fit will be as important in the selection process as technical ability. You will need be a strong communicator and confident relaying information back to non finance personnel.
