Overview
The Company Overview: Butler Rose have partnered with a prestigious Retail business who are looking to enhance their finance function by recruiting an Assistant Accountant. Part of a larger international Group, my client is recognised as a market leader in their field and as the business continues to grow, career advancement opportunities will be available for the successful individual. Your new role as Assistant Accountant: As Assistant Accountant, you will work in a stable team of approximately 8 finance staff being an instrumental part of the finance function. You will receive valuable support from a highly experienced Management Accountant who will facilitate skills development and career development. Your duties will include supporting with the production of management accounts and analysis of the P&L; balance sheet reconciliations; bank reconciliations; EC Sales and intrastat returns; maintenance of the fixed asset register; and other project work as required. The Experience & Qualifications Required: This is an ideal opportunity for an AAT qualified individual who is keen to continue further study as a CIMA/ACCA study package will be offered. You will be fully competent in transactional accounting duties with some exposure to management accounts production, ideally gained within a similar business. Strong Excel skills are required (pivot tables and VLookups) and knowledge of Sage or similar finance packages.
