Overview

Role: Bookkeeper Location: Glasgow, City Centre Salary: £20,000 to £24,000 My Client are a small Accountancy Practice based in the Centre of Glasgow and due to their ongoing growth they are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to service a portfolio of clients, who will be an important point of contact for the clients. The individual will be responsible for working with a varied client portfolio maintaining relationships and ensuring issues are dealt with accordingly. They will provide a comprehensive bookkeeping service to their clients including; Preparing and submitting VAT returns Preparing all balance sheet reconciliations All aspects of Sales & Purchase Ledger Reconciling Nominal Accounts Preparing Bank Reconciliations Liaising with managers and directors on a daily basis As they are a small office the role would also involve a very small amount of office admin duties. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within an Accountancy Practice A proven track record of servicing customers Good IT knowledge will be required, particularly Sage. Experience of IRIS Kashflow, or other cloud software’s would be desirable but not essential. Also, experience of Excel would be highly advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills will be required to enable good communication with clients and other employees of the firm Payroll experience would also be desirable but not essential.
