Brief We are looking to recruit a junior (newly qualified up to 2 years PQE) lawyer to support the Advanced Delivery Team (ADT) in Edinburgh to sell and deliver technology-led legal services to our financial services and infrastructure clients, including banks, insurers, funds, asset managers and construction and energy clients. This is an exciting new role which offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop new skills in a cutting edge area of legal services whilst working across our UK offices in a multi-disciplinary team. Specifically the candidate will: apply their knowledge of the FS/Infra Sector to contribute to the creation, development and delivery of technology-led services for our clients in that sector. support bids, scoping, setup and management of technology-led services for FS/ Infra clients. as a member of the team, play an important part in delivering the overall objectives of the ADT. We have set out below the key aspects of the role. Technology To support the development of our technology-led business by: applying practical and technical legal knowledge of the FS/Infra Sector to contribute to the creation, development, piloting and implementation of technology-led solutions for FS/Infra clients. collaborate in identifying new opportunities for technology solutions and evaluating opportunities with the wider ADT and, where relevant, with client relationship teams and sector teams. participating in pitches, bids and presentations on technology-led services, for the F&P Group and FS and Infra Sectors. Transactions To operate as a member of the ADT in its delivery of technology-led instructions by: support in the preparation of bids / proposals for technology-led solutions, with appropriate support, for our bank clients (expanding to other clients in the FS and Infra Sectors). liaising with central technology team throughout transactions. understanding client requirements throughout transactions, from scoping to reporting. taking an appropriate role in the successful delivery of transactions. Client relationships To operate as a member of the ADT to expand the range and type clients to whom we offer technology-led services by: supporting the development of client relationships relating to technology-led services. This will involve supporting client relationship teams and sector teams as well as direct interaction with existing clients. developing resources and materials to support the growth of technology-led services for F&P and FS/Infra clients, including working with the BD team. Team Background Innovation is at the heart of Pinsent Masons' strategy and the Finance & Projects Group has invested significantly in the development of technology-led services for clients. These services deploy people, process and technology to deliver "new law" services to clients. The ADT works closely with the Technology Services to create, develop and deploy these solutions for clients. The ADT is a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, paralegals, project managers and technologists who combine to deliver innovative solutions for clients. The ADT sits within our global Finance & Projects Group and aims to: design, implement and sell new solutions and services that are innovative in their use of people and technology, and which generate profitable revenue; be champions for change, promoting innovation and challenging the status quo, particularly through thought leadership and communication of its work and the achievements; and support colleagues to help them engage with clients to develop and deliver innovative solutions.
