A fantastic new opportunity has arisen, a well-established law firm seeks a Court of Protection Solicitor/Executive You will need to: Handle Court of Protection matters including managing client’s affairs on behalf of the named Deputy(s) and professional Attorneys as well as new applications to the Court. Be an expert in your area Be proactive, and have an eye for detail Meet tight deadlines and targets whilst under pressure be expected to progress your own matters in a timely manner and with minimal supervision Work well within team, contribute to team meetings and take an interest in team development Actively be able to confidently and appropriately deal with challenging clients Be able to manage complex cases as well as straightforward ones Be willing to carry out local home visits as well as take appointments at other offices if needed, and be able to competently undertake research The Role: Ensuring the timely production of legal documents to the firm's standards. Preparation of Court forms. Dealing with calls and correspondence other professional organisations Dealing with benefit reviews. Preparing tax calculations and tax returns for clients. Attending clients’ properties in order to conduct inventories when required. Attending clients’ properties to undertake insurance inspections when required. Obtaining financial advice on behalf of the named Deputy/Attorney, and accounting spreadsheets, preparation of bills, and preparation of annual reports. Assisting with OPG assurance visits. Instructions to cost draftsman and processing of bills. Attending local organisations where appropriate to deal with financial matters Management of all aspects of client’s affairs where the firm are appointed to act as professional Deputy/Attorney under the supervision of the fee earner. Dealing with all new Court of Protection enquiries as well as those enquiries about care fees, deferred payment agreements etc. Apply today for immediate consideration.
