Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join this multinational expanding organisation based in Cheadle. Along with a basic salary of up to GBP23,000, the successful candidate will also benefit from an extensive annual leave allowance, life insurance, a company pension scheme, a retail reward scheme and a 30 hours working week. About The Role: · Control holiday system and ensure records are maintained accurately and promptly · Ensure payments are processed in line with payment dates · Resolve attendance issues · Control payment schedules for finance relating to Employees, HMRC and Pensions · Maintain payroll reports and records required by the business · Produce month and year end HMRC reports and file online · Assist HR officer in reconciliations of the payroll related balance sheet accounts for all payrolls · Assist Payroll Manager in developing control systems to ensure accurate information within the payroll systems · Assist Manager in ensuring the department complies with legislation on Tax, NI, SMP, SSP · Maintaining an accurate computerised database of employees personal records · Checking and amending inaccuracies in all variable data, including overtime claims, timesheets, and expenses claims, prior to final processing · Integrating new starters into the payroll system ensuring all relevant information is available for processing · Calculating pay details for starters, leavers and changes to current employee salaries · Calculation of statutory deductions on an ad-hoc basis, such as PAYE tax, national insurance, pension deductions, sickness and parental leave payments Essential Skills & Experience · Previous payroll experience · Self-motivated, able to work both independently and in a team environment in a well organised manner · Must be familiar with MS Office programs and be particularly proficient in MS Excel · Professional attitude towards our colleagues · Essential Skills and Specialist Knowledge · Good problem-solving and analysis skills · Good verbal and written communication skills · Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are important to be successful in this role About The Benefits Offering a salary of up to GBP23,000 pro rata 30 hours a week part time pro rata from full time 40 hours, Monday-Friday 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Full induction and training offered Ability to buy up to a weeks additional holiday Life insurance cover Cycle scheme Childcare vouchers Support with CIPP learning programme is on offer Our client is an equal opportunities employer.
