Transport Coordinator

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join a successful Waste Management business on a full-time basis in Cannock, working Mon to Fri, days. Supporting the Transport Manager, you will support the operation by providing an efficient and effective transport administration service whilst delivering general transport planning and driver management duties. Your Transport Coordinator duties will include working closely with management and the transport teams to ensure any delivery concerns or failures are identified and addressed, as well as the provision of operational reports required by management. There will be a need to control vehicle efficiencies and service requirements to ensure that all transport documentation is managed and stored in a legally compliant manner. It is essential that you have a thorough understanding of customer operational requirements to ensure the correct procedures are in place among the transport team in order to meet and exceed client expectations. As part of the role you will build and maintain good professional relationships with the driver fleet and key customers and supplier contracts whilst also conducting general driver management such as managing queries and de-briefs. You will be a natural people person, who can engage with all team members and customers, with an ability to be self sufficient and manage your work-load independently.
