HGV Class 2 Driver/Loader

If so, Driver Hire Chelmsford and Harlow have just the role for you Our client is currently recruiting for a Dustcart Driver/Loader to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis in the Brentwood area As a Refuse and Recycling Driver you will be required to successfully lead a small team of refuse loaders to collect waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties. Work is to be completed efficiently and you must ensure the daily rounds are completed. As a Loader you will be required to prep the collection of the waste and load the Bin Lorry as and when required. Due to this, the ideal candidate will be physically fit as the role will involve lots of walking, vehicle loading, heavy lifting of sacks and pushing/pulling of loaded wheeled bins/containers (weighing upwards of 450kgs) in all weather conditions. This is a truly exciting and incredibly important opportunity which will offer work within the council and mean you will achieve their vision of keeping our streets clean It should also been seen as a 'foot in the door' as if our client is in the position to recruit a worker on a permanent basis this could potentially become a temporary to permanent opportunity To be considered you must hold a Class 2 licence and current CPC and Digi cards. Role Requirements: ·Attention to detail and care – You will be driving a Class 2 dustcart vehicle in residential areas You must be able to demonstrate the ability to reverse and manoeuvre in tricky areas with precision and care. ·Complete daily rounds as efficiently and effectively as possible ·Complete daily vehicle checks in line with our client’s procedures and H&S requirements Please be mindful that you will be required to complete a driving assessment/induction prior to commencing work. Working hours: Monday to Thursday – 07:30 – 15:30 / Friday 07:30 – 15:00 (37 hours per week) (Guaranteed 7.5 hours Monday – Thursday, 7 hours Friday) Salary: Agency rates: PAYE – £10 per hour Umbrella – £12 per hour Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to every application.
