JOB TITLE Warehouse Manager REPORTS TO Operations & Safety Director JOB PURPOSE This role is the single point of accountability for all warehouse operations to include overseeing production planning, fabrication, order kitting and Goods In/Dispatch. You will be directly responsible for all Warehouse members. The post-holder will focus on the following 4 main duties : 1. Warehouse Control & Organisation 2. Support Stock List Min/Max Levels 3. Kitting Orders and Project Shipments 4. Goods In/Goods Dispatch Overall this is a key role in the day-to-day running of the developing business and will focus on processes and practices that will deliver consistent quality, performance and service to our customers in the supply of our products. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Warehouse Control & Organisation a) Be active 'daily', for maintenance of a highly organised warehouse - promoting effective stock control, productivity and picking efficiency b) Implement highest standards of control, efficiency and organisation c) Interface with Production Manager to control workplans and quality of fabrication d) All areas, safe, house-kept and space managed effectively to suit the peaks of incoming stock and production activities e) Implement working with the office and management team to drive continuous improvement projects to evolve our business into an industry leader and create a 'greatplace- to-work' for its employees f) Management of machine maintenance, servicing and repairs incl. Forklift g) Attend Daily briefing meetings (8.30am & 2.15pm) to understand work plan and issue Goods In tracker for same day/next day deliveries 2. Stock Tracker/Inventory Control a) Responsible for Stock Counts, and update of Goods In/Goods Out to ensure Stock Tracker for real time stock availability working closely with Purchasing/Inventory Controller b) Working closely with Operations & Safety Director to maintain accurate count of all materials in warehouse c) Work with Operations & Safety Director to organise and re-appoint stock as an on-going function d) Working with External Suppliers to keep accurate min/max levels in line with Stock Management 3. Kitting Orders and Project Shipments a) Review daily production and customer order requirements with the office/management Page 2 of 3 POSITION STATEMENT Warehouse Manager team at twice daily meetings b) Prioritise and kit, pick, pack and package ready for despatch standard product orders c) Bring high quality to our goods packaging that will impress our customers when received d) Checking and Sign Off of goods for dispatch to ensure correctness 4. Goods In/Dispatch a) Responsible for Goods In receiving process; Checking off goods both quality and quantity, allocating space and instructing colleagues b) Ensuring all paperwork is reconciled with Purchasing c) Consistently monitoring for improvement and staging of goods for dispatch d) Planning Dispatch of goods with timed collections and managing vehicles GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? To ensure compliance with and actively promote Health and Safety at work policy, procedure and performance ? Maintain a willingness to multi-skill and multi-task to support the business at various stages of the company's growth and requirement SUCCESS MEASUREMENT ? Management of Warehouse team to meet KPI's and drive Continuous Improvement ? Timely processing of Goods In/Dispatch ? Daily management of Stock Tracker & Stock Replenishment ? Organised and tidy warehouse ? Logical locations for tools and equipment ? Condition of stored products ? Quality standard achieved with production and assembly products ? Weekly review of 'Projects List' specific to this role ? Increased output - kitting orders ? Warehouse Based requirements will be as follows: Manual Handling Abrasive Wheels Training Current CSCS Card - not essential Office based requirements will be reviewed in the following areas: Manual Handling Activities Visual Display Equipment - minimal use Working alone PAT testing of all portable equipment Computer literate -Excel, Word and knowledge of SAGE system would be advantageous Salary - £27k per annum Location: Milton Keynes Standard Working Hours 40 Hours Per Week Working Day - 8.30am - 5pm COMPANY: is a young, dynamic and growing business. Ideal candidate will have experience in managing a young team and be able to coach and mentor to achieve high standards set for daily activity and consistently drive Continuous Improvement both in the workplace and with staff members. All candidates will be assessed on their attitude and approach to the work at hand alongside their experience. Forklift training would be ideal although not pre-requisite as we are a business who believes in coaching and growing our people. OPPORTUNITY: are located off Junction 13 of the M1 however will be relocating to North Milton Keynes in February 2020.
