Overview
A Specialist Sensory and Physical College based in Wimbledon is seeking an experienced SENCO to join their team on along term basis with the potential to go permanent. This school educates pupils who are visually impaired, including those who are multi-disabled visually impaired, deaf-blind and have more profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. Our specialist area of work is addressing sensory and physical difficulties. This school is nationally known as one of the best provisions in the UK and has been continually rated as "Good" by Ofsted. They are committed to continuous improvement. School improvement is a continuous process, consequently our School Development Plan and Ofsted action plan are organic documents, which alter as evaluation and review occur throughout the year. Their whole school community is involved in this process through consultation, helping to build capacity for future improvement and delivery of their current improvement aims. As a SENCO in this school, you will be: Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy. Supporting the identification of children with special educational needs.
