Overview
Business Analyst - based in Winchester, Hampshire Paying up to £35,000 per annum plus benefits As a Business Analyst for the market leading provider of software into their industry, you’ll perform business analysis responsibilities associated with the delivery of customer and business strategic projects across the Delivery Team. Key Responsibilities: Managing multiple in-flight work streams to scheduled deadlines and provide early escalation to the Product Owner Team Leader if deadlines are at risk. Attending Product Team meetings and accurately allocating time to Tasks in actiTIME. Early engagement with clients to gather their requirements (internal and external) in order to set and manage their expectations. Attending specification and development estimation meetings and providing specification estimates. Obtaining development estimates once a specification has been written. Writing specifications and other supporting documentation (requirements and technical documents). Updating documents and creating addendums when changes are made during development. Peer review of colleague specifications and updating own specifications after internal and external review. Engaging with the Proposition team to agree the scope of a specification and the proposed solution. Obtaining sign-off of completed specifications with Proposition. Detailed knowledge transfer of specifications to the Product Owners to ensure all requirements that are in scope are fully understood and accurate Features and PBIs can be created for the scrum teams. Owning specifications through development and UAT to Production including UAT bug triage and reviewing Feature level release notes. Execute any other tasks as set by, and agreed with, the Management team. Essential Skills & Experience: Recent experience in a Business Analyst role. Experience of gathering, analysing and documenting customer requirements. Experience of working with IT systems in a Broking/Insurance environment. Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills. High level of competence in using Microsoft Word. Advantageous Skills & Experience: Previous involvement in the design of insurance products. Knowledge of commercial insurance products. Experience of working in an Agile environment. Confident presentation skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Understanding of XML. Understanding of the software delivery process.
