Overview
Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Interim Financial Controller based in Colchester for an initial period of 9 months. As the Financial Controller you will manage the finance department to ensure integrity and compliance of all the financial and management accounting reporting activities. Your key responsibilities will include the production of all financial accounting information including statutory accounts, maintenance and improvement of the existing financial controls and cash flow / treasury duties as well as the monthly management accounts. In addition to this there are direct line management responsibilities for members of the accounts team. Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for the management accounting for all companies of the business. Preparation of annual statutory accounts for UK companies Preparation of annual corporation tax return for UK companies Preparation for the audit process with external auditors Cash management and cash flow forecasting Management and development of internal financial controls. To ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards / legislation. Monthly preparation of balance sheet & operating cash flow analysis. Direct management of the accounts team Board report preparation and attendance at Board Meetings as required Supporting accounts team during peak periods as required The ideal candidate will be fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA and have experience of managing a team and producing management accounts. Having proven experience of working with senior stakeholders will also be advantageous.
