I am working on behalf of a fantastic residential service for children and young people to recruit for an experienced Registered Manager who is looking to progress in their career. The role is based in Clacton-On-Sea and will see the succesful candidate given the role of 'Regional Manager'. Our client is a well known and established provider of Residential Childcare who are aiming to create a cluster of homes in Essex that will exceed children’s needs. Initially the role will consist of having full autonomy in the opening of the company's newest home as a Registered Manager. You will be initially leading the home through its Ofsted registration and managing a home that will make a huge difference to lives of children who have suffered trauma and abuse. The role will all consist of the expansion of the company within the Essex region by supporting the company in the opening of a cluster of homes. It will then be your responsibility to maintain a high standard across all of these homes, whilst liaising with head office for support. The role includes: Leading the home through its initial Ofsted Registration - helping with everything from the fixtures and fittings to the paperwork Manage the home to an outstanding standard Working alongside Head Office to research and approach the opening of several more homes in the region Take the lead in ensuring an open culture is created, one in which children feel that they can complain and that they are listened to. Promote and actively encourage the delivery of a safe, structured and nurturing environment.Promoting the young person’s independence and developing their life skills Ensure that staff are aware of the individual needs of all young people and deliver the support required to ensure life chance opportunities and positive holistic development. Work in collaboration with Human Resources to manage all employee relations within the home, in line with current employment legislation and the company’s policies and procedures. Whilst the role has its challenges, the results you will see from the children you work with will offer incomparable job satisfaction.
