Overview
Caljan Ltd provides, installs and maintains a wide range of mechanical handling and automation equipment. Our primary market is the postal and logistics sector, which is seeing record growth through the rise of e commerce. Our UK headquarters are based in Milton Keynes. We have a large team of 100 employees based throughout the UK, and support most of the major UK parcel carriers on a national basis. Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit an Installation Site Supervisor to join our team. Location: Flexibly location. The position will require regular travel throughout the UK, based on customer demand and project locations. Occasional travel to our UK HQ in Milton Keynes will also be required. Primary Responsibilities: Manage on-site installation of new projects, co-ordinate subcontractors and ensure customer satisfaction Manage site works, including but not limited to: Supplier deliveries Site diaries Mechanical Installation Electrical Installation Supervision of sub-contractors Component/system testing Commissioning and handover of project to client Snagging issues Effectively manage any project slippage minimizing escalations or project failure Ensure all project variations are identified to the Project Manager Manage site Health & Safety requirements. Provide wider support within other parts of the business (eg Service / Maintenance, as required). Essential: Experience of successfully supervising contractors C&G or BTEC in electrical or mechanical engineering CITB SSSTS card. Desirable: Knowledge of an ERP system / service management system Experience of working with Risk assessments / method statements Customer handling skills and experience Prior experience and knowledge of material handling systems / postal / logistics industry.
