Production Operative

Staff 365 are looking to recruit a number of Temporary ongoing Production Operatives for our client based in Ripley. Shifts Available: Static Days: 6am to 6pm – 4 on, 4 off including weekends on a rota which includes a weekend shift allowance OR: Static Nights: 6pm to 6am – 4 on, 4 off including weekends on a rota which includes a weekend shift allowance Purpose of Role: The Production Operative will be responsible for finishing, checking and/or packing parts in preparation for collection and delivery to the customer. This will also include meeting set targets on the production line to ensure that the overall production plan is achieved. The Production Operative will ensure that standard procedures are adhered to in order to meet quality targets and drive minimum scrap % on their line. Duties and responsibilities: • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently • Ensure that all required quality checks are carried out as per the company standards • Carry out daily tasks on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy • Operate machinery safely and effectively, in line with the correct operating procedures • Report any machinery issues to management • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet customer requirements and team targets • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management • Assist the team in additional processes such as machine start up, shut down and line change overs. • Contribute to waste management programs Keys Skills:  Basic numeracy and literacy skills  Good communication and listening skills  Good attention to detail  Ability to self-motivate  Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Desirable: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially in the plastics industry would be beneficial Possible temp to permanent contracts may be available.
