Overview

A growing 6 partner accountancy practice which has been established for over 30 years has increased their turnover by 20% from last year and require a hands on and experienced Accounts and Audit Manager to continue supporting the growth they are experiencing. The Accounts and Audit department consists of 20 staff including 3 Managers and 3 Partners. If you have leadership and business development skills together with a drive to achieve positive results along with a great work ethic, this is a fantastic role for you. The ideal candidate is a person who has experience in leading audits, managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing work of a team of more junior accountants (Seniors, Semi Seniors and trainees). One of the key factors is communication skills, as this is a very people and team orientated role, where you will be in direct and frequent contact with your clients. Main duties of an Audit and Accounts Manager: Role split: 50% Accounts Preparation and 50% Audit Managing a portfolio of clients with turnovers from £500k to £40million Visiting clients on their premises Attending business development meeting and negotiating fees Leading audits in the office and on clients’ premises Reviewing work of juniors Preparing analysis of accounting data from clients’ books and records Performing Audits from start to finish including planning, testing, execution and consolidation Requirements for the role of an Audit and Accounts Manager: Excellent work ethic and communication skills Experience in managing a team ACA/ACCA qualified Proven achievements in bringing on new business will be an advantage Benefits of the role an Audit and Accounts Manager: 23 days of holidays plus Bank Holidays Bespoke pension plan Dynamic role with career progression and Partnership opportunity Bonuses Audit and Accounts Manager £55,000 - £65,000 per annum Croydon, Surrey
