Sopra Banking Software is seeking a Junior Software Consultant to join our specialist team in Durham. Working as a Junior Software Consultant you will be a multi-faceted consultant, specialising in Finance as well as in IT. About the role: After initial training on the Banking Software and the Banking Industry, the Software Consultant will be responsible for: · Performing functional and technical analysis · Working on the development and implementation of our “Sopra Banking Platform” software · Developing software code in accordance with customer requirements in conjunction with the software design team · Supporting customer implementations and upgrades · Learning about the banking and finance industry. You will be working in a dynamic environment with a team of highly skilled designers and developers based in Durham, and work closely with our colleagues in Sheffield, India, Belgium and France. The candidate: To be a successful Junior Software Consultant you should have some of the following: · Degree educated as a minimum · Be able to apply good logic and problem solve · Experience of working within a commercial environment · Interest or existing experience of working in the finance industry There may be a requirement to travel to other Sopra Banking offices during the initial training period. We offer flexible working however it may be a requirement a fter a period of training to work flexible hours and provide out of hours support.
