COMMUNITY STOMA NURSE – PART TIME – 30 HOURS PER WEEK ACROSS FOUR DAYS - £28K - £34K (FTE) Territory: Burton/Nuneaton and surrounding areas Our client has an excellent reputation in the provision of specialised home delivery services of continence and stoma management solutions. They are recruiting for a Community Stoma Care Nurse to cover Nuneaton and the surrounding area on a part time basis, across four days per week. As a Community Stoma Nurse you will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence based care to all patients who require surgery and who have or may require the formation of a stoma, both within the hospital and community setting. You will also provide expert advice and education for hospital and community staff. Key duties to include; · Patient assessment and evaluation · Effective, advocacy and support of patient, enabling them to make informed decisions · Liaison with appropriate hospital staff and community teams to facilitate the provision of high quality care · Keeping up to date with current initiatives, research and development in the field of colorectal and stoma care nursing · Providing clinical leadership and direction in colorectal/stoma care · Implementation of specialised educational programmes for pre and post registration Nurses and member of other disciplines · Maintaining an understanding of broad business objectives In order to be considered for this role you will have; · NMC registration · A minimum of two years post registration experience · Specialist stoma or colorectal experience · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to work autonomously This role is offered on a part time basis of 30 hours across four days per week.
