Overview
Senior Healthcare Assistant (Nights) – Bristol Permanent – Full Time – 33 or 44 hours per week Our Client based in Harrogate, provide Nursing and Dementia care for approximately 60 service users within its large, luxury purpose built facility. The service offers both short and long-term placements for residents, and specialises in providing innovative dementia care. They provide exceptional care to their residents, and are currently seeking to strengthen their team by welcoming a new Senior Healthcare Assistant to work a rolling rota of night shifts full time on a permanent basis for a total of 33 or 44 hours per week. The successful applicant will have proven paid experience in a similar role. You will play an essential role in leading care and ancillary staff members in all aspects of our service to residents, including deputising for senior managers at times. You will need to demonstrate your commitment to good care practise through a QCF or equivalent Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and practical experience of caring for older people, as well as the willingness to train to develop further. Responsibilities and requirements (Inclusive of but not limited to): · Providing high levels of care and support appropriate to the general needs of the residents as outlined in their care plans · Dispensing, administering and auditing of medication · Leading the team of care assistance to best meet the needs on the residents · Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all residents in accordance with safeguarding · Providing or contributing to reports and reviews relating to individual residents · Providing personal care such as support with showering and dressing · Supporting people with eating and drinking · Monitoring individuals’ conditions by taking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight.
